The
Teaching Assistant College is a brand new
training provider delivering CACHE Teaching
Assistant Programmes on the Internet through
online learning (e-learning).
As a previous tutor in a
regular college I have seen the difficulties
that students often have trying to juggle
so much with their everyday lives, from
working as a teaching assistant to taking
care of their own children, from taking
care of the house to attending any other
employment commitments, that fitting in
college lectures was sometimes difficult.
I created The Teaching Assistant
College to help overcome the difficulties
that attending college can bring by bringing
the learning to you. Because all of the
training is delivered on the Internet it
gives you the opportunity to study whenever
it is most convenient to you, be it in your
lunchtime in the school library or classroom,
at home in the evenings, at weekends or
any other time or place you have access
to the Internet.
When designing the programmes
to be delivered online we were particularly
careful to ensure that your studies were
as varied and interesting as possible using
a variety of teaching methods, we have incorporated
lecture delivery with video clips so you
can see other Teaching Assistants working
with pupils, a forum to discuss issues with
other students, a bulletin board to keep
you updated with current issues and, of
course, much, much more.
I am confident that you will
enjoy our study sessions as much as we have
enjoyed creating them. I look
forward to receiving your application pack.
