The Teaching Assistant College
will begin holding events for Teaching Assistants
in 2007, these events will consist of workshop
sessions relating to different aspects of
being a Teaching Assistant.
We plan to have a ‘working
with pupils with Special Educational Needs’
conference as one of our first events, perhaps
with workshops on: Supporting children with
autism, creating resources for children
with SEN, working with other professionals,
IEPs and inclusion.
We hope to hold these events
across the UK giving as many Teaching Assistants
as possible a chance to attend.
If you think these events
may be useful to you we would appreciate
knowing some details about what subjects
you would like the workshops to be based
on, or if you would like to attend the ‘working
with pupils with SEN’, then please
let us know in the events
interest form. Completing the form gives
you a chance to request a location for one
of the events and will also ensure that
you are first to know when dates have been
finalised giving you an opportunity to book
early.
If you are studying with
us on one of our courses for Teaching Assistants
then we can offer large discounts for our
events should you wish to attend.
You do not have to
be studying with The Teaching Assistant
College to come along to one of our events,
nor are the events part of the courses delivered
by us.
