The Teaching Assistant College attended the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) held at the Royal Horseguard’s Hotel on the 15th – 17th May 2010.
The conference proved to be extremely successful for us, with very positive interest in the Teaching Assistant qualifications and INSET training from schools based in a wide range of locations!

CONFERENCES:
The Teaching Assistant College recently exhibited at the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) Annual Conference held in London in May 2010. We appreciate everyone who took time out to chat to us, it was a real pleasure to meet with you all and we look forward to continuing our discussions during the coming weeks.
We also look forward to meeting you on the next occasion at the COBIS Conference in Madrid at King’s College, 29-30 October 2010.

TA COLLEGE OPEN DAY – Held on Monday 26th July 2010
We would like to thank all of you who attended our open day, especially those who travelled a distance to get here, it is really appreciated.
We are delighted at the response and the eagerness to find our more about e-learning through the college.
As a consequence we are looking at further open days during the coming months, especially to enlighten potential students on the new QCF qualifications due for launch in September 2010.
We also invite existing TAs, and all those of you interested in becoming a Teaching Assistant to drop into the College anytime during the working week (9.00 – 4.30 Mon – Fri) for a chat with our tutors and assessors, and to view the student side of the website. you will all be most welcome.
Directions to the TA College:
Approaching from the North or South on the M6 motorway.
Exit at junction 14 (Stafford North)
From the motorway island exit onto the A5013 sign-posted ‘Eccleshall’
Follow the road through the village of Great Bridgeford, then continue for 2-3 miles
Approach a sharp left bend indicated by the post mounted chevron signs and Walton Hall Community Special school situated on the right hand side just prior to this bend
Continue on the A5013 for approximately 1/4 mile and look for a signposted right turn with a white house on the corner, turn right
(if you do enter a 30mph zone on the A5013 you have gone too far and you will have to turn around)
Follow the lane which narrows somewhat and proceed to the T junction
Turn tight and start to rise up the hill with Hilcote Hall retirement home on the left.
At the top of the hill there is a picket fence displaying the TA College signs.
Enter the car park and park in front of the single storey building.
